Registers

Sections of Ledgers are preceeded by "Registers," handwritten lists of names loosly organized in alphabetical order. Each register covers the ledgers between certain years. It appears that Mr. Snyder updated his registers once he had taken enough new photographs to require more space for names or once he was looking to organize more recent photos from those that he considered old enough to not need on hand. The registers list the subjects/customers of Mr. Snyder and indicate the plate numbers of the photos taken for that that order. The ledgers are in the order that photographs were taken, therefore organized by plate number.

Physical Description

Each book is an aging bound ledger, handwritten by Frank Snyder. They are often coming unglued and the pages are quite flimsy. Handle with extreme care.
