Biographical / Historical

Fisher was a member of the Harvard-M.I.T. Eclipse Expedition of 1936. The Eclipse Expedition was a joint effort by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) to view the total eclipse of the Sun that occurred on 1936/06/19. The group observed the eclipse from the Ak-Bulak region of Siberia (modern day Kazakhstan).
